What to prepare for a China–Saudi shipping quote

A short, complete shipment brief helps us compare suitable options and explain what the quote includes.

Start with the cargo

Describe the goods in plain language. Add the number of cartons, packed dimensions and total gross weight. Identify batteries, liquids, fragile items or unusual handling needs early. A photo of the packed cargo can help clarify the brief, but it does not replace measurements.

Give both ends of the journey

Provide the pickup city in China and delivery city in Saudi Arabia. Say whether you need supplier pickup, port-to-port transport or delivery to your address. State your cargo-ready date and the date you need delivery; distinguish a preferred date from a firm deadline.

A message you can copy

“Goods: ceramic mugs. Pickup: Guangzhou. Delivery: Riyadh. Ready: [date]. Packing: 10 cartons, 60 × 40 × 50 cm each. Gross weight: [kg]. Total volume: 1.20 m³. Please compare available options and explain included and excluded charges.” Replace the example details with your actual shipment.

Compare the same service scope

Before choosing, ask which pickup, transport, destination handling and delivery services are included. Request separate clarification of customs-related costs, insurance and any additional fees. Note the quote’s validity and whether the delivery timing is an estimate. A low headline price may describe a shorter part of the journey.

When information is still missing

Tell us what is confirmed and what is estimated. Ask the supplier to verify final packing and weight before booking. If dimensions or delivery arrangements change, request an updated quote. Our CBM calculator helps prepare the volume figure; the shipping price still requires a shipment review.
